Principle of Operation :
Staplex Air Sampler draws low volumes of air through a filter by means of a rotary pump.
Various types and sizes of filter papers, glass fiber filter media, filter cassettes and activated carbon cartridges are suitable for collection of samples.
Flow rates are measured in liters per minute ( LPM) .

Staplex Low Volume Air Samplers maximize flow rate and minimize sampling time for many air quality testing procedures, making them faster and more productive than personal samplers.

Sampling Range
LV-2: 15-35 LPM ( standard) or 3-25 LPM ( optional add to suffix)
BS, BSA: 5-17 LPM
Flow Control:
Fully adjustable flow control valve on direct-reading rotometer, settable over the full flow range.
Accurate to + / – 5% full scale.
Inlet
Luer-lok fitting ( standard) or tapered fitting ( optional)
Analysis of Collect Samples
Gravimetric, taring, ashing, microscopic count, phase contrast or electron scanning microscopy, comparator, x-ray fluorescence, etc. depending on substance being sampled.

Description :
Portable, lightweight Low Volume Air Samplers highly effective for accurate samples from immediate vicinity of sampler for air pollutants; asbestos fibers; smoke and smog; radioactive particles; industrial, governmental, hospital, home and office health and safety tests; atmospheric conditions; mine air hazards; factory dusts; research and testing, etc. including chemical, radiological and toxicological analyses. Suitable for mobile or fixed position operation in normal non-explosive atmospheres.

Standard Models :
Line-powered Model :
LV-2: 220-240 Volts AC, 50-60 Hz, ( 1 5-35 LPM) Add ” -L ” for 3-25 LPM Flowmeter; ” -T ” for tapered inlet
Weight: 2.7 kg
Dimensions: 10.2 x 10.2 x 17.8 cm ( continued)

Features:
LV-2 is capable of continuous use.
The sampling efficiency will cover up to 35 LPM of air with resistance pressure of 40 ” WG ( 3 ” Hg) . Extremely compact and rugged.

Standard Components:
Motor, pump, built-in flowmeter ( rotometer) , 1-1/ 8 ” diameter Filter Holder Assembly, convenient carrying handle.

Self-charging, Battery-powered Models
Complete with Ni-Cad batteries and built-in re-charger

BSA: for 2 hour sampling time, recharge on 220-240 Volts AC, 50-60 Hz
Weight: 5.5 kg
Dimensions: 11.4 x 17.8 x 21.6 cm
Add ” -T ” for tapered inlet
Models with longer sampling time available by special order.

BSA
Features:
Designed for use where electrical power is not available or practical, these Air Samplers are equipped with built-in self-charging Ni-Cad batteries and re-charger.
Standard Components: Motor, pump, flowmeter ( rotometer) , 1-1/ 8 ” diameter filter holder assembly, NiCad batteries and self-charging circuit, all designed and built into a small compact unit with convenient carrying case.

Re-charging: To recharge batteries, plug cord set into proper voltage outlet: 220-240 volts AC for Overnight ( 14 hours) charge is sufficient to restore full charge. Ni-Cad battery cell life is unlimited and can be recharged as many times as required. Sampler should not be operated during recharge.

Accessories for Low Volume Air Samplers
Filter Holder Assemblies: Additional Filter Holder Assemblies save time and help avoid filter contamination when taking a series of samples.
Luer connection for quick changing.
SH18 Filter Holder Assembly, 1-1/ 8 ” Diameter.
SH20 Filter Holder Assembly, 47 mm Diameter.
Filter Cassettes: Pre-loaded plastic styrene filter holders are very convenient and highly accurate.

They are recommended for many OSHA and NIOSH sampling procedures, especially asbestos sampling. End caps prevent filter contamination before and after sampling.

Other types also available.
Midget Impingers and Bubblers: For collecting vapors, dusts, and gases.
Inlet Accessories: Luer taper adapter, Flexible tubing, Cassette to tubing adapter.

Calibrator:
Model CKLV direct-reading Calibrator for fast and accurate air flow calibration.
